Davao City Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Inc. forges key
partnerships with foreign embassies for its annual flagship events, the 26th
Davao Agri Trade Expo (DATE 2024) and the 2nd Innovation Summit (InnovSumm
2024), in the recently concluded Manila Roadshow.
From April 21st to 23rd, 2024, the team, led by Secretary-General Ms. Mary
Antonette Doromal, 26th Davao Agri Trade Expo Chairperson Atty. Paolo
Claudio, and Innovation Summit Marketing Head Atty. Ryan Mesias, with Advocacy
DCCCII Team Supervisor Ms. Kateryn Dianon and Industry and ICT Advocacy Lead
Ms. April Joy Portugal, engaged in a series of meetings with Ambassadors,
Commercial and Trade Attaches from the Embassies of the USA, India, Hungary,
Denmark, Belgium, and Canada, and the Chairman of the Middle East and North
Africa Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines.
The collaborative efforts of external relations have propelled the Davao Agri
Trade Expo and Innovation Summit teams forward. During the roadshow in Manila,
they cultivated meaningful connections and explored collaborative opportunities
with foreign companies.
The Chamber aims to build upon previous collaborations and explore new areas of
partnership, directly engaging with diplomatic representatives to lay down the
groundwork for future cooperation. During these courtesy visits, the team aimed
to introduce the two major events scheduled for 2024, slated for September and
November, respectively. These events are essential for Davao's economic and
cultural landscape, offering international cooperation and exchange
opportunities.
Through constructive dialogue and mutual understanding, the team aims to
identify shared interests and avenues for collaboration that would benefit
local and foreign stakeholders, specifically in Agriculture, ICT, Education,
Tourism, and Services.
